Watch out for your kids, Iwajowa LG president’s wife blames mothers


THE WIFE of the President of the Iwajowa Local Government in Oyo State, Ms. Muyibat Oyinloye, called on mothers to pay adequate attention to the education of their children to ensure their mental and ethical development.

Mrs. Oyinloye instructed during her visit to the primary health care center in Iganna to present gifts to mothers of newborns in the commune.

According to her, mothers have an important role to play in a child’s life, from birth by ensuring that adequate health care and needs, such as consistent breastfeeding and routine immunization, are provided when the child needs it.

Oyinloye, in a statement signed by the council’s chief information officer, Matthew Olatunde further said that mothers should monitor their children’s growth and general behavior to get the best out of them to make parents proud.

To achieve this, Oyinloye therefore asked mothers to show care towards their children to prepare them for the challenges of the future life.

Presenting gifts to the first baby of the year in the council area, brought to life by Ms. Ramotalah Humaru at the Primary Healthare Center, Iganna, Oyinloye said the gesture of giving gifts to the new babies was to demonstrate the importance from the Governor The administration of Seyi Makinde is concerned with the well-being of everyone in Oyo State.

She further tasked the mother of the new baby and other nursing mothers to ensure that all routine immunizations are taken for their infants who are not of age for the vaccines.

In her response, Ms Hamaru, a Fulani who spoke through an interpreter, expressed her gratitude to the council for this gesture.

Oyinloye was accompanied by the wife of Iganna LCDA’s vice-president / administrator, Ms. Bello Raliat-Olori; Matron, Mrs. Ruth Adegoke and other council officials.
